Redgranite and Riverview students in Mrs. Miller's art classes recently helped make pieces for larger artworks which will be on display at the Waushara Area Chamber of Commerce's Breakfast with Santa. This year's breakfast will be on Saturday, November 30th at the World War II Memorial Building in Wautoma. From 8:00 - 11:00 am, the community can enjoy a breakfast catered by Moose Inn. Breakfast is $5, kids 4 and under are FREE. Kids will receive a free picture with Santa.
Thank you to Borzick Farms Milkhouse Meats, located in Montello for donating blue doll porcelain pumpkins to the WASD Food Service and to the high school Family and Consumer Sciences class. Blue doll pumpkins are great for baking pies, cupcakes, bread, muffins and more! Mrs. Drake's class carved, scooped, pureed and froze for later use. From the kitchen, Crystal and Kalla processed enough pumpkin puree for each school to make homemade pumpkin bread for breakfast! Watch for it on the upcoming menu! Breakfast is free to all students district wide regardless of income!
The Redgranite third grade students would like to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to all those who have donated to the 15th Annual WASD Pajama Drive so far. There is one more day to donate to the Pajama Drive. If you'd like to donate, please drop your pajama donations or monetary donations in the office at one of the schools in the district.
Also, 4K-8 students will have a Pajama Day and high school students will have a Hat Day tomorrow, November 22. For a $1 donation to the cause, students are encouraged to wear pajamas or a hat.
It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that the CTE department nominates Skyler Royston for October Student of the Month. Skyler has demonstrated respect, determination and leadership. He always strives for excellence and consistently submits quality work. He is a very effective, quiet leader. He will step up and help others when needed. He is polite, respectful, and kind to staff and his peers, leading by his excellent example.
Wautoma High School staff and students have benefited greatly from his demonstration of WHS character traits. The CTE department is honored to nominate Skyler Royston for the Student of the Month.

On Friday, Mrs. Gill's Foundations of Early Childhood Education Class welcomed Julianna Fishbauger, a student from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, to be a guest speaker and talk about becoming a Child Life Specialist. The high school students loved the presentation and were really engaged in the content!

On Tuesday, selected band students from Wautoma High School and Parkside School traveled to Westfield High School to participate in the South Central Conference Honor Band. Students from Wautoma, Nekoosa, Mauston, Westfield, Adam-Friendship, and Wisconsin Dells spent the day collaborating and performed a concert at the end of the day. He consistently participates in class, sharing thoughtful insights and encouraging his peers to engage in discussions. He is also quick to lend a helping hand, whether it's offering to explain directions to a peer or sharing his materials. His readiness for each class, with all necessary supplies in hand, demonstrates his commitment to learning and sets a great example for others.

Today, Mrs. Gill's Health, Safety, and Nutrition Class conducted their last observation of the semester at Little Sprouts in Redgranite. The high school students had a blast with the little kids! Thank you Little Sprouts for hosting our class!
Adam Rigden and Victor Magneus from the Wautoma Freemasons recently stopped by the Wautoma Area School District Office to donate Stop the Bleed Kits the District Administrator Jewel Mucklin.
The proceeds from the annual Father’s Day Car Show allows the Freemasons give back to their community. The group partnered with Pete Fischbach from Guardian CPR to supply the Stop the Bleed Kits to the three school Districts throughout Waushara County.
This week is National School Psychology Week and celebrates the contributions of school psychologists and the important role they play in schools and communities. Thank you, Mrs. Glodoski, for all you do for our students, families, and staff!

Responsibility is a vital aspect of our lives, especially at school. It refers to the duty we have to take care of certain tasks and the ability to be accountable for our actions.
The following student demonstrates responsibility on a daily basis. He attends school regularly, he completes his daily assignments on time, and he participates in class activities.
Because this student consistently demonstrates responsibility I am able to trust him. I can trust him to be kind to others, I can trust him to work hard to improve in all subject areas and I can trust him to be a leader in our classroom.
Being responsible at school is definitely preparing him for the future. He is very dependable, makes thoughtful decisions and understands the impact of his actions. These qualities are certain to help him be successful in the future.

Second Graders at Redgranite Elementary School want to give a big thank you to Mr. Clark Johnson and the AT&T Pioneers. Mr. Johnson presented each of the students with their very own dictionary and reference book on behalf of the Pioneers. These dictionaries will be invaluable tools as the students use them to learn about words, states, presidents, and more! Thank you again Mr. Johnson and AT&T Pioneers!
Third graders at Redgranite will be kicking off the 15th Annual WASD Pajama Drive on November 11. This past week, students received a generous donation of fleece tie blankets from community member Jackie Scott. The blankets will pair nicely with the pajamas! Children around Waushara County will be able to be nice and cozy this winter. The students would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Scott for her generosity.
If you would like to make a donation to the Pajama Drive, we will be accepting new, unused sets of pajamas at each school's main office throughout the district from November 11 to November 22. Thank you in advance for making this community service project a success year after year.
The schoolwide art collaboratives created by Mrs. Miller's art students at Riverview and Redgranite are now gracing the walls of their respective schools. The students drew inspiration from artist Jen Stark's "drip" murals to create their pieces. Some of the staff members and Riverview 4K students also contributed to the project.
Thank you to everyone who voted on the referendum. While the referendum did not pass, we respect the voting process and the decision of the community.
Our district has significant needs that will not go away. These unresolved challenges have a direct impact on our students, staff, and overall community, and they will need to be addressed. They cannot be solved without taxpayer support. As such, we will continue long-range facility planning, engaging the community, and pursuing future referenda so that every building and every child has improved opportunities for success.
