Redgranite Third Graders have adopted a cow this year through the Discover Dairy Adopt a Cow Program. Students have learned that their calf, named Indy, is being raised on a farm in Eldorado, Wisconsin. Students are excited to watch Indy grow throughout the school year. They are also excited to learn more about dairy farming. The third graders currently need your help! From November 4-6, the students need your support to vote for Indy. Please use the QR code to vote for their calf! If Indy wins, she will receive a special care package! Thanks for your support!

In recognition of his outstanding character traits, the Library, Physical Education, and Alternative Education Departments would like to recognize Landon Johnson as the September Student of the Month. He has been incredibly helpful to Mrs. Roberts in the library, consistently going above and beyond what is asked of him. Landon demonstrates a strong commitment to success in everything he does. He is always honest about his workload and willingly steps up to help in the classroom. Whether it’s finding the correct book or returning items to the shelf, he shows great responsibility. Additionally, he contributes positively to the Hornet Café and consistently submits his work on time. He balances his responsibilities, ensuring that homework is completed either at school or at home on time. What truly sets Landon apart is his willingness to support his peers. He goes out of his way to assist students in need, whether it's helping them find their way to a classroom or offering guidance to newcomers. Landon exemplifies the best qualities of a student and a leader and we are proud to name him as Wautoma High School’s Student of the Month.

We are excited to share that our school is actively working on expanding our college and career readiness programs to provide even more opportunities for our students to explore their future aspirations. A group of our multilingual learners recently attended UWO college fair, where they had the opportunity to explore various post-secondary options. The students participated in a campus tour, admissions presentation, career and professional development sessions, and a student panel discussion. Mrs. Peña and the WASD is proud of their engagement and enthusiasm during this valuable experience.

Last Week the Redgranite Correctional Facility made two generous donations to the DARE Program and the Redgranite Elementary School. This kind contribution shows the institution's commitment to supporting community welfare and promoting positive youth development. The funds will be allocated to enhance educational resources for teachers and strengthen the DARE program, which plays a vital role in equipping students with the skills they need to make informed decisions about drug use and resistance strategies. A Big Thank you to the Redgranite Correctional Institution for your generosity and commitment to our school and community!
