During the WASD Transportation Safety Meeting, District Administrator Jewel Mucklin and Transportation Director Jenna Wakeley recognized Brian Ronspies for his perfect attendance for the past six years. REMINDER: The Waushara County Health Department and School Nursing Staff will be administering Flu Shots within the District this Monday, October 23rd and Tuesday, October 24th.
Congratulations to the Varsity Volleyball and the Boys Soccer Teams advancing to the second round of the WIAA Playoffs.
The Volleyball team beat Lodi last night 3-1 and travel to West Salem this Thursday for their game at 7:00 p.m. The Boys Soccer team beat Berlin tonight 5-1 and will travel to Green Bay Notre Dame on Thursday for a game starting at 4:00 p.m.

Parkside 7th and 8th Grade Forensics Team recently traveled to Ripon last night for their first meet. Each of the Parkside participants received an A- or higher on their rankings! Congratulations!
A huge thank you goes out to the Wautoma Public Library for connecting Mrs. Wilson’s CPR Class with protective eye glasses for viewing this past Saturday’s Annular Solar Eclipse.
The next “Ring of Fire” won’t be viewable until 2046! Additionally these glasses will be helpful for students to view the total eclipse on April 8th! We are also looking forward to the Moon Gazing on Saturday, starting at 7:30PM, with a NASA Ambassador and two huge telescopes for viewing our moon and the stars.

October is National Farm to School Month! Today on the lunch menu at Parkside and WHS is a baked potato bar! Potatoes served today are locally grown from Decker Family Farms! Potatoes are rich in vitamin C, which is an antioxidant! Another major nutrient in potatoes is potassium, an electrolyte which aids in the workings of our heart, muscles, and nervous system!
