The Riverview 3rd Grade held Grinch Day yesterday due to the fact the snow day was canceled their event. Students drew the grinch, found the Math operations the Grinch had stolen, worked hard to find the punctuation marks he stole, and came up with ways they could make him grin. They also got to enjoy The Grinch movie as a group, a fun day back was had by all.
On the Wednesday before break the Riverview 3rd grade classes enjoyed Ugly Sweater Day. Students came dressed in awesome sweaters, made a sweater ornament, decorated sweater cookies, completed sweater themed Math activities, worked on sweater contractions, and got to write about why their sweater was the best. It was a very fun day!

Santa’s elves were hard at work before break! Wautoma High School's FCCLA's first community service project of the school year is in the books! It’s so great to see these kids putting their time and energy into something that’ll make someone else’s day a tiny bit better.
⭐️They sewed pillow cases for kids in the hospital fighting cancer.
⭐️They sewed quilts for families who have experienced miscarriages.
⭐️They inserted zippers into kid’s shirts for those undergoing chemo. This will allow them easy port access.
A huge thank you to Ms. Kathy Badura for helping FCCLA complete this project. All items will be donated to HSHS St. Vincent Children's Hospital in Green Bay, WI.

Today’s Youth Apprenticeship Spotlight features Wautoma High School Senior Braelynn Pica!
This is Braelynn’s first year as a Marketing Youth Apprentice at Salon Muse. She is responsible for scheduling appointments, answering phones, waiting on customers, selling product, as well gaining skills with all customer service avenues.

Today’s Youth Apprenticeship Spotlight features Wautoma High School Junior Thomas Schwartz!
Thomas currently works with Wautoma Area School District IT Director Eric Highlander and is in his first year youth apprenticeship. Thomas assists the IT Department prepare Chromebooks and iPads for classrooms as well helps in other IT areas that need assistance.
The Wautoma Area School District will be closed on Thursday, December 22nd. There will be no evening activities.
WHS Student Council sponsored pajama day to coincide with the annual WHS Library program called "Curl Up with a Good Book." Students in Ms. Morris' Baking & Pastry Class baked delicious treats and provided healthy snacks and English classes went to the library to enjoy them and check out books for the upcoming break. Thank you to all who contributed to make this day a great success for the WHS community !

Earlier today, the Wautoma High School Honors Choir traveled to the Waushara-Wautoma Senior Center to perform at their annual holiday luncheon. This was the first time since the winter of 2019 the students had the opportunity to perform for the senior citizens due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
On Monday, students at Redgranite Elementary had a surprise visit from the jolliest of fellows... Mr. Grinch. It might not look like it but he had a wonderful time handing out pencils to most and (chocolate) coal to some.
DON'T FORGET: Tomorrow the Riverview Elementary 2nd and 3rd Grade Students will be performing their Winter Concert at the McComb/Bruchs PAC. The 2nd Grade will start at 10:15 AM, followed by the 3rd Grade at 11:00 AM.
Today’s Youth Apprenticeship Spotlight features Wautoma High School Senior Jody Simenson!
This is Jody’s first year apprenticeship working with Yeska Farms, however, he has worked for the farm for a number of years. The Yeska’s stated they are very thankful to have Jody working for them as he is able to drive their farm trucks to a variety of job sites, including their potato farms and Christmas tree farms.
Earlier this school year, Jody has also worked at the farm’s second location, Whispering Pines Tree Farm, in Oconto. This particular tree farm provides wagon rides, tree cutting, a gift shop, and food vendors.
Jody said this experience has provided him a whole new experience on how to sell trees and help families pick out the perfect one for the holiday season.

The Birthday Table continues to be a big hit at Redgranite Elementary School. This past week, the Redgranite Student Council once again spread kindness by recognizing those that celebrated birthdays in December. They also decided to celebrate the half birthdays of students who have a birthday in June. Happy birthday!
FCCLA members donated their own money to get our wonderful crossing guard a heated jacket!
Our crossing guard ALWAYS has a smile on her face no matter the weather. We are so happy to be able to do this for her!
