The band concert for tonight has been postponed to tomorrow, Wednesday, May 22nd at 7:00 PM. This decision has been made due to the incoming weather situation and lighting damages that impacted the PAC during a previous storm.

K-9 Grizz visited Miss Ponto's 4th Grade Class for some Grizz therapy last week. Grizz loves visiting the students and helping them start their day off on the right foot!

Congratulations!

Yesterday, the students presented their Vacation Projects in Mrs. Loging’s Geometry Classes. Each group was given a $4,000 budget to fulfill the following requirements: round-trip plane tickets; car rental; sleeping accommodations; a minimum of three tourist outings; one “lazy” day; and breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Plans for four days. Many of the students worked hard not to “Break the Bank” often coming home with money left over.

Don't forget to RSVP to the Spring Athletic Banquet!
The slips were handed out last week to athletes and are due back to WHS Office by Wednesday, May 29!

After 25 years working with the students and staff at Wautoma High School, Mrs. Sluke will retire at the end of the month. Thank you so much for all you have done for the physical education department! Best of luck on your next adventure!

On Friday, the Parkside School Fifth Graders, under the direction of Mrs. McKinney, performed their end of the year concert for family and friends at the McComb/Bruchs Performing Arts Center. Congratulations on a great performance!

Kindergartners and 5th graders had their last buddy activity of the year. This time they colored flowers after talking about what they loved and what they will miss about school. It has been a year full of fun activities and relationship building. 5th graders made sure to wish the Kindergartners luck in 1st grade and Kindergartners sent the 5th grade off with well wishes as they move on up to Parkside next year.

Riverview Elementary 4K Teacher Mrs. Coron will retire from her position at the end of this month. Thank you so much for the past 35 years -- you have no idea what impact you have made on the children and families in this area. Best of luck on your next chapter!

Redgranite 5th graders took a trip down to Madison this week to perform with the Madison Symphony Orchestra and show off what they have learned through the 'Link Up' music education program. This year the focus was on melody and how instruments can sing. They celebrated their performance with lunch and exploring at the Henry Vilas Zoo.

Mrs. Bunde will officially retire from her position as the Riverview Elementary School Counselor at the end of this month. We want to thank Mrs. Bunde for everything she has done to shape the lives of the students in the Wautoma Area School District for the past 19 years! We wish you the best on your new adventure! You will be missed!

Parkside 6th Graders in Mr. Iwen's Math Classes have been learning about distribution of data and various ways of organizing and displaying data. Last week, students used a hands-on approach with a catapult to gather data that they later organized and analyzed.

I-scream, you-scream, we all-scream a HUGE 'Thank You' to the Wautoma Dairy Queen for the donation of Dilly Bars for our Dilly Day. We are so lucky and thankful to have such an amazing business in our community that goes out of their way to support their schools. Redgranite Elementary cannot thank you enough!
