Third graders at Redgranite Elementary School will be kicking off the 11th Annual Pajama Drive. New and unused pajama donations will be collected at all schools in the Wautoma Area School District from March 15 to March 26.
This year the third grade class is hoping to collect 200 sets of pajamas. Over the last 10 years this community service has been successful because of generous people like you. Thank you in advance for your support.


Third graders at Redgranite Elementary began the FOSS science investigation about Motion and Matter. Students were asked to answer the following focus question: "What happens when magnets interact with other magnets and with paper clips?"
After several attempts with magnetic/force activities, students noticed that magnets can push or pull each other and they noticed that magnets attract paper clips. Students are excited to conduct additional activities in the future.

The A+ After School Program partnered with the Ice Age Trail Alliance to provide a family snowshoe/hike on the Bohn Lake Segment of the Ice Age Trail last Saturday! A volunteer from the Ice Age Trail Alliance guided families along the trail sharing trail history and geography.





Redgranite Elementary has had a blast kicking off Read Across America Week. The kids wore their best green and found a friend to twin it up with!!





WHS students in Mrs. Sluke's Lifetime Activities class spent this beautiful day learning how to cross country ski.

Due to the continued arctic blast, drive thru food pantries in Wautoma and Coloma are canceled for Tuesday, February 16th and Wednesday, February 17th. This difficult decision is made to ensure the safety of our volunteers and patrons. At this time, drive thru pantries located in Plainfield and Wild Rose will be open as scheduled.
The Waushara County Food Pantry will also be open during their normal hours and can be contacted in the case of a food emergency by calling 787-0641.

Congratulations to Logan Johnson for joining the 1000 point club! Johnson achieved this accomplishment against Green Lake/Princeton on February 9th.



Mr. Vanisavveth is introducing 6th graders at Parkside to academic and career counseling readiness by having students recognize how building problem-solving skills now will help them in their future work life. Students will be also recognizing how their current interests may move them toward a career later in life.



Congratulations to the Wautoma High School FBLA Chapter in their 4th place finish at Regional Competition Virtually this year. All 27 students who participated finished in the top 8 of their event.

Four Wautoma High School juniors were recently inducted into the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica Avispones (Hornets) Chapter, sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the induction ceremony for the students has been postponed. The new inductees include: Abby Peterman, Hoyt Keller, Gabe Ascher and Hayley Moore.

Chess Club is back at the Parkside A+ After School Program. The game of Chess helps youth work on problem solving skills, focus, strategic thinking and social skills. Thank you to Ms. Albrecht and Mrs. Stevens for providing this opportunity for A+ students!
