Beyond the classroom Sarah has really taken on a leadership role as a new member of the

Congratulations, Parkside Character Award Winners!
As a 6th grade student, this young lady consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership and determination, leaving a lasting impression on both her classmates and teachers. She has shown remarkable leadership skills in various areas of school life. Whether working on group projects, leading classroom discussions or even going out for sports, band and choir, she has an incredible ability to inspire and motivate those around her. She consistently completes her work on time, always striving for excellence in everything she does. Her commitment to doing her best and maintaining a strong work ethic is truly admirable. She serves as a role model for her classmates, exemplifying the values of hard work, integrity, and kindness.
For these reasons and many more, the 6th Grade Team is proud to nominate Arley Vaughan for January's Parkside Student of the Month.

The 6th grade students were absolutely on fire while playing Greek and Latin root bingo, laughing at their own "root-iculous" discoveries. One student excitedly shouted "I've got this!" when they realized they actually knew what "tele" meant, while another sat there wondering if "bene" was a new pizza topping. As the cards filled up, the room echoed with "I got it!" and "Wait, what does 'chrono' mean again?"— language arts class had never been so fun!

Redgranite Elementary has been celebrating students and staff each month with the ever popular Birthday Table at lunch! Here are the pictures from the past couple of months of the students enjoying their special time at the birthday table, their birthday cards and their birthday treats!

This month’s character trait is determination, and when Mrs. Tompkins thought of a student who constantly shows hard work and determination she thinks of Alayah Alexander.
Alayah is always determined to do the right thing, whether it is following directions, showing effort in her work, or asking for help when she needs it. She completes her phonics homework and is a motivated worker with Ms. Kropp. Alayah also shows determination when it comes to being respectful toward others. She is determined to include others in games and other activities inside and outside at recess.

The Wautoma Area School District’s (WASD) Board unanimously approved the district’s long-range facilities plan and voted to place two capital referendum questions on the April 1, 2025 ballot. Each question, if approved, would support the district's ability to begin implementation of the phased long-range facilities plan. To read more, visit https://bit.ly/4gqaRNY.

The American Beekeeping Federation recently held their 82nd Annual Convention in Reno, Nevada. The new American Honey Queen and Princess have been crowned! Cheyenne Bastian-Brown from Pennsylvania was crowned the 2025 American Honey Queen and Emilia Burnham from California was crowned the 2025 American Honey Princess. The ladies have begun to travel around the United States promoting honey and beekeeping. Today they "buzzed" into Redgranite Elementary School where they spoke to third graders about bees. Bee-lieve it or not, learning about bees was un-bee-lievably fascinating!

Happy National School Counselor Appreciation Week! Thank you for all you do for our students and families.
