If your household income qualifies your children for free or reduced price meals at Wautoma Area School District, they may qualify for the Summer EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) Program. Summer EBT is an income-based program that helps families buy food while school is out by providing them with $120 in benefits for each qualifying child.
If your child already gets free or reduced price meals at our school, you do not need to do anything to get Summer EBT.
If they don’t, to get Summer EBT:
• You can apply for free and reduced price meals for them. If you are approved before
August 29, 2024, then you will get Summer EBT. For questions on how to apply for free or reduced meals, please contact Tami Stansbury, Food Service Director. stansburyt@wautoma.k12.wi.us
• You can participate in a state benefit program. If your child is school-aged and your
household participates in FoodShare, W-2, Food Distribution Program on Indian
Reservations (FDPIR), or an income-based Medicaid program, then they are already
qualified for Summer EBT. If you apply and are approved for one of the eligible programs
by August 29, 2024, then you will get Summer EBT.

agency.
• You can apply directly for Summer EBT. You can apply for Summer EBT. You will need
to meet the income requirements for the program. The application will close for this
year on August 29, 2024.
Note: This information is for children that attend Wautoma Area School District. If you have another child that goes to a different school, the steps here might not be the right ones for them to qualify for Summer EBT. Getting Summer EBT will not affect if your child can get other benefits, such as meals offered through the Summer Food Service (SFS) or Seamless Summer Option (SSO). Receiving Summer EBT will not affect your children or families’ immigration status.

The Parkside 6-8th Grade Spring Concert will be held this evening at the McComb/Bruchs Performing Arts Center. We hope to see everyone there!

Redgranite Elementary 4K-2 students took a field trip to the Food and Farm Exploration Center in Plover. Besides getting a picture in front of the world's largest potato masher, students had fun learning about mineral mining and agriculture. What a great, new place in our area!

CESA 5 and Wautoma High School are proud to announce their partnership for the Employment Readiness & Transition Program for the 2024-2025 year. Students enrolled in the age 18-21 program in Waushara County and surrounding areas participated in an assessment today at Wautoma High School.
Today's activities consisted of assessments to ensure that students and workplaces were a right fit based on job skills, interests, and to evaluate the level of support needed to help students experience success.
Throughout the 2024-2025 year, students will be placed at one local business during each of the quarters of the school year. By the end of the year, students will have worked at a combined total of four local businesses. These include: Shasta Daisy Co., Salon Muse, Dairy Queen, Smiley's Bait & Feed, Wautoma Public Library, and the Waushara County Animal Shelter.

Redgranite Elementary School received a grant from Adams-Columbia Electric Cooperative. The school received nearly $1,000.00 to purchase educational tools related to math and science. This past week 2nd and 3rd grade students enjoyed using the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) resources purchased with the grant money. The STEM bins will allow our students to learn more about the engineering process and motivate them to become problem-solvers. Redgranite Elementary School would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Adams-Columbia Electric Cooperative for their generous donation and their commitment toward the betterment of our children.

Today for lunch the students got to try a new recipe . Loaded Barbacoa! We used locally raised jersey- angus beef sirloin and rump roast from Borzicks Farms Milkhouse and Meats in Montello, WI. Our kitchens smelt amazing!


Last night, the Wautoma High School National Honor Society held their annual induction ceremony at the McComb/Bruchs Performing Arts Center. This year, four students were recognized for their achievements by NHS Advisor David Urness and the current members. Congratulations!
