She plans fun learning activities and shows the best cheesy videos that help us learn in a fun way.
Mrs. Martz is kind and brave because she is not afraid to be herself. She helps students whenever they need it and always pushes us to be the best we can be. She is always there for us when we need help, encouragement, or just someone to listen.
Mrs. Martz is very smart and knows the answers to even the toughest questions. If we don’t understand something, she explains it again and again until everyone gets it. She works very hard and puts a lot of time and effort into planning different learning opportunities for her students.
Mrs. Martz is a great leader who helps us make better choices and teaches us how to be responsible. She shows integrity and empathy and truly cares about her students. If someone is having a rough day, she does her best to make it better and help them smile again. She always makes sure we have the materials we need and that we stay on task and finish our work.
Mrs. Martz is also very cooperative with other teachers and shows us how to work well with others. She is thoughtful and often puts others before herself. She is thankful and always shows appreciation.
Mrs. Martz supports us even outside the classroom by coming to our sporting events and by helping coach. We feel lucky to have her as our teacher because she believes in us, cares about us, and makes learning exciting every day.

Throughout the school day, students encounter many challenges, both academic and personal, that can easily lead to feelings of frustration or self-doubt.
From the very beginning of the year, this student has stood out for her determination to overcome those moments and maintain a positive mindset. She approaches new learning with determination. Because of this strong determination and belief in herself, she has made meaningful progress and shown great growth this year.
As she continues her educational journey, I hope she carries this same resilience and self-confidence with her, as it will undoubtedly lead to even greater accomplishments. It is with great pride that Ms. Lotspeich nominated Emma Larsen as Redgranite Elementary’s Student of the Month.

The third grade teachers at Riverview Elementary School are proud to nominate Harper Gaatz for Student of the Month.
Harper consistently demonstrates kindness and respect to everyone around her and is always willing to help others. She works hard in all areas of the classroom, approaches every task with a positive attitude, and willingly attempts any challenge presented to her. What truly sets Harper apart is the way she supports her peers. Rather than simply giving answers, she takes the time to reteach concepts and guide classmates through their learning, acting as a thoughtful “second teacher” when others are struggling. Her leadership extends beyond the classroom as well.
As a member of Student Council, Harper is a positive role model in the lunchroom, hallways, and throughout the school. Her dedication, compassion, and strong work ethic make her an excellent representative of Riverview Elementary. She exemplifies what it means to be a responsible, caring, and hardworking student, and we believe she is highly deserving of Student of the Month recognition.
