Career

Wautoma High School is hosting an all-day career fair event on Wednesday, Feb. 15.  At this time, WHS is looking for area employers and businesses to help during the career fair as well as an employer panel.

The career fair portion will run from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will have tables set up. Throughout the event, local businesses can set up a booth in order to share materials, examples of the type of work they provide, hand out job applications, or anything relevant that helps students understand the types of jobs available in the community.

There will also be an employer panel where information will be shared as to what employers are looking for in a potential application. This panel will be held for all 9th grade students in hopes that it prepares them for what they should do now if they would like to have a job in the future. The 10th grades students will have the opportunity to take part in a mock interview, which runs from 12:15 to 1:45 p.m. Volunteers are needed for this event as well.

In addition, WHS will be running a reality store for all 11th grade students. The Reality Store will be held from Noon to 3 p.m. Family and Consumer Science Teacher Alyssa Morris is planning  this event and is in need of volunteers to take part in the store.
