The Wautoma Area School District will be reaching out to all District residents, including parents and staff, over the next few weeks to gather input regarding District operations and educational facility needs, specifically Riverview Elementary School, with a community-wide survey.
WASD has hired School Perceptions, an independent educational research firm, to conduct the survey and ensure all responses are kept confidential. We are asking all parents, staff, and district residents respond to the survey that will be mailed out in the coming weeks.
In the fall of 2021, the Board of Education conducted their annual building tours to examine the summer maintenance work and assess the needs of Riverview Elementary School.
In order to continue to provide the best possible services to students, the district leadership and Board of Education started to examine the physical structure of the school to determine safety, security and accessibility needs, major building systems, and classroom and support space capacity needs.
Within this investigation it was agreed upon that structural renovations and additions or a new building construction were necessary to address these concerns, which has led to the questions included on the Community Survey and potential future funding referendum.
The survey will be open through October 24 at 5:00 PM. If you do not receive an email invitation to complete the survey please check your “spam/junk” folder and then contact me for assistance.
